Welcome to the 2011 Toys For Tots Campaign for Columbus, and surrounding Central Ohio Counties. Officially the 2011 season begins on October 1 and We support to the best of our ability the following counties Delaware, Franklin, Fairfield, Hocking, Licking, Madison, Perry, Pickaway and Union Ohio! This year the Marines, sailors, and civilian volunteers of Lima co 3D Battalion, 25TH Marines and surrounding local communities are going to make every effort to make our Toys For Tots Campaign very successful. We will be doing so with the assistance of local community support organizations, local donor organizations, local volunteers, and good old fashioned Marine ingenuity. Most of all, we will be looking forward to the kind giving spirit of the people in our local communities.
Americans are the people we are because we understand what it means to have a selfless spirit. We know what it is to have a good life. This year we are appealing to the giving spirit of humanity. To serve someone in greater need than ourselves. Think of your children. What would you do to prevent them from suffering? As parents, we do whatever it takes for our children not to experience a single moment of grief.
Toys For Tots is a program designed to bring people together and to allow those less fortunate than ourselves to celebrate equally . We are attempting to give every child in Delaware, Franklin, Fairfield, Hocking, Licking, Madison, Perry, Pickaway and Union counties a fitting Holiday Season. It has been rumored, there may not be a "real" Santa Claus, but the Marine Toys For Tots Foundation is doing its part to ensure the spirit of Santa Claus lives on. We are his relief... and we look a bit sharper in our dress blue uniforms. Truly, we believe Santa would be thoroughly impressed with our efforts.
We've crossed the line of departure and are underway. On October 1st we begin the official start of the 2011 campaign we will have 84 days till Christmas. At present, we are conducting coordination to support special events, dropping off toy collection boxes and materials, working with our local sponsors to provide special incentives for dropping off toys at their businesses, and finalizing the location of our collection and distribution warehouse. It seems the proactive measures we've taken are now paying large dividends. We will continue to be aggressive in our efforts to affect the overall success of this year's Toys For Tots Campaign and our local communities.
We have 84 days to make as much of a difference as possible within the local communities of Delaware, Franklin, Fairfield, Hocking, Licking, Madison, Perry, Pickaway and Union counties. We will be committed to our people and their needs. We will remain focused on sustainable results.
